Weekly Newsletter and Homework
Weekly newsletters will be posted here. You will find our weekly learning focuses, important dates, homework, and important information.
Homework will be electronic and checked by teachers through the programs. No papers will be turned into the class.
Monday - Thursday
* Math Homework - IXL for 15 minutes every day
* Reading Homework - RAZ Kids or book from home or library for at least 20 minutes every day
* Students must READ EVERY NIGHT.

DISTRICT SUGGESTED GUIDELINES FOR FIRST GRADE HOMEWORK
Homework is defined as independent practice or preview of skills & concepts taught during class.
The following types of assignments that are done after school hours are recommended to be done beyond the timelines stated above:
a. Independent reading
b. Projects
c. Test preparation
d. Advanced courses including Advanced Placement and Honors
e. Band
f. Sports
g. Other extra‐curricular activities, i.e., drama and cheerleading.
